Snickerdoodles

Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs. Add dry ingredients gradually. Form into balls, roll in cinnamon-sugar. Bake at 400˚F for 8-10 mins. Enjoy these soft, cinnamon-spiced cookies!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ¾ cups flour
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Cinnamon and sugar for coating

Instructions
 

  • Cream together the shortening, sugar, and eggs.
  • Combine dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture a little at a time. The batter will be stiff.
  • Form batter into balls the size of walnuts and roll in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
  • Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 400˚ for 8-10 minutes.
